Timothy Shipp

Timothy Clyde Shipp, 58 of Thornton, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2023. He was born Feb. 19, 1964, son of the late Ralph William Shipp Sr. and is survived by his mother, Bonnie Wolfe Shipp Tucker and stepfather Tommy Tucker.

Timmy was a caring man with a heart of gold. He enjoyed being outdoors, working in the yard and driving on old back roads. He also liked to spend time in the garage with his close brother and best friend, Randy, along with close friends, watching NASCAR and football. Timmy worked for Watusi Mobile Homes, Jewels Mobile Homes, J&M Contracting and Amber Mobile Home. He also worked for J&J Homes from 1993-1999 and the family owned business, S&S Mobile Homes, from 1999-present.

In addition to his mother and stepfather, Timmy is survived by five brothers, Ralph Shipp Jr. (Janie), Terry Shipp, Randy Shipp (Debbie), Larry Shipp (Beth) and Robert Shipp; two sisters, Diane Pederson and Cathy Spencer; mother-in-law, Pauline Shafferman; sister-in-law, Sandra Shafferman Schoen (Kenneth); two brothers-in-law, Charles Shafferman (Carrie), and Jason Shafferman; two special godchildren that he loved dearly, Liam and Leesa Grace; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
In addition to his father, Timmy was preceded in death by his loving wife of 36 years, Mona Lisa Safferman Shipp; father-in-law Charles Shafferman; two sisters-in-law, Debbie Shipp and Brenda Shafferman; two brothers-in-law, Mike Pederson and Roger Spencer; and nephew, Nick Swan.

Family and friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, from 2-7 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 22, and from 9 a.m.-noon, the hour of the funeral, on Monday, Jan. 23, with Pastor Jimmy Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at the Evansville Cemetery. Bartlett Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
