Tyler Ray Hammack, 26, of Morgantown passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 11, 2023. The world lost a remarkable brother, son, boyfriend, father and friend.
Tyler was born Nov. 11, 1996, in Frederick, Md., but lived in Morgantown most of his teenage and adult life. Tyler was the oldest of three children.
If you asked Tyler, his greatest accomplishment was being a father. Tyler was a devoted father to his baby girl, Everleigh, and a bonus dad to his girlfriend, Courtney’s, daughter, Paisley. He embraced every moment with them. He was an adventure seeker with no fear and a generous soul, never hesitating to help people out. Because he was a big kid at heart, his younger cousins adored him. He was known for his kind heart and never hesitated to let people know that he loved them.
Tyler will be greeted at the gates of heaven by his mother, Shari Hammack, and reunited with maternal grandparents, James and Rosalie Hammack.
He will be deeply missed and mourned by his daughter, Everleigh, Aunt Laura “LaLa” Appleton Dixon, who raised him as her own son; and his sisters, Brittany Howard and Madison Hammack. Many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends will also be grieving the loss of this outstanding young man.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, Pa. Tyler did not have life insurance, so anyone that would like to donate to the funeral cost can do so directly through Herod’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held at Vessels of Fire church located at 15 Harrison St., Westover, WV 26501, from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21. There will be a celebration of life directly afterwards.
