Richard Otis Davis, 81, of Arthurdale entered eternal rest on Friday, Dec. 23, 2022, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, surrounded by loving family.
He was born Oct. 3, 1941, in Arthurdale, a son of the late Frank and Annabel Davis.
Richie was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was a plumber and pipefitter for WVU, worked at WVU in the athletic department press box and was on the event staff for basketball games. He volunteered for Arthurdale Heritage and was an avid hunter.
Richie is survived by his daughters and spouses, Kelly Collins and Allen, of Morgantown, and Amber Crimm and David, of Flemington; four grandchildren, Clayton and Jacob Collins and Lillie and Lane Crimm; three brothers, Harry, Johnny and Davie; and numerous nieces, nephews, loving friends and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Sandra “Suzie” (Bonnette) Davis on March 20, 2022; five brothers; and two sisters.
Family and friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Reedsville, from noon-2 p.m., the funeral hour, on Thursday, Dec. 29, with the Rev. Steven E. Lightner officiating. Interment will follow at the Arthurdale Cemetery.
