Betty Jane Sypolt, 95, of Morgantown, passed peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2022, at Stonerise Morgantown. She was born in Terra Alta, the daughter of Delmar and Beatrice Spiker Hughes.
Betty took great pride in caring for her family and keeping a home.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dana C. Sypolt, in 1975; one son, Rex Allen Sypolt; and three sisters, Alice Cole, Joretta Messenger and Ruth France.
She is survived by her son, Dana L. Sypolt and wife Elizabeth; daughter, Gwendolyn Kay; grandchildren, Lori and Phillip, Richard and Christopher; and three great-grandchildren, Amanda, Allison and Ashley. Also, surviving is her sister, Barbara Bowser, of Morgantown.
The family will receive friends at the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home, from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 27. Betty will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at the Terra Alta Cemetery.
