Doris Marilyn Nicholas, Bobby’s wife of 43 years and Trevor’s mother, earned a Doctorate in Education (Ed. D) from West Virginia University and retired as a social work professor after 20 years of at WVU.
She spent 12 years as the director of social services at Ruby Memorial Hospital where she led the development of its medical ethics program.
Doris passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 8, 2021. The establishment of the Doris Nicholas Social Work Scholarship for Minority Students was created to allow her legacy to live on and continue to change the lives of not only young people through advanced education but to the diverse communities surrounding them.
This show marks the first time Bobby and Trevor will co-headline a concert together.
