Mary Louise “Sis” Pancoast was born in Morgantown on Oct. 9, 1944, and passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 11, 2022. Sis was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends.
Mary was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years, Floyd “Buzz” Pancoast III. She was also predeceased by her mother, Ruby Shaffer; father, Earl J. Wolfe; stepfather, Howard Shaffer; and daughter, Sharon Gray. Mary is survived by her sister, Sandra Bower and her husband Paul Bower; by her son, Floyd Pancoast IV and his wife Malissa; daughter, Paula Wyatt and her husband Sam Wyatt; daughter, Terri Bowser; daughter Lisa Pancoast and her partner, Roger Collins; 14 grandchildren; and 33 great grandchildren.
Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, from
11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15 with the Rev. Michael Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery.
