Joann Rose Dupont, 86, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Bretz, passed away Friday, Dec. 9, 2022, at Kane Regional Center in Pittsburgh.
She was born in Bretz, on June 23, 1936, a daughter of the late John P. and Irene (Giuliani) Dupont. She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, John Dupont; her sister, Ann Priore; and her brother-in-law, Robert Priore.
Joann is survived by her sister, Frances Rydzak (Robert), of Pittsburgh, and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was a loving sister, aunt and friend. Joann was Catholic by faith. She was an avid WVU fan, especially football. Joann was a former employee of Greer Limestone Company and the Philippi Hospital.
Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home, from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Zita Catholic Church at 1 p.m. with Fr. Joy Raphal as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Masontown Cemetery.
