Delmas Stout

Delmas Lee Stout Jr., 43, passed unexpectedly of natural causes on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022. He was born to Brenda Lee Hartman Stout, of Morgantown, and the late Delmas Lee Stout Sr. on Jan 22, 1979.

Delmas was known by many names; Delmie, Big Daddy Double Dip White Chocolate, and Uncle Delmas, just to name a few. He was always the life of the party, gave the most incredible hugs and was pretty good at different voices too. He loved being in nature, especially enjoying it on a lake or stream from his kayak.

Delmas had a great work ethic and was most recently a part of the Joe R. Pyle family, where he did almost everything and anything he could for his co-workers. He was a shirt-off-his-back kind of guy who was always willing to help. He loved spicy foods, constantly pushing the limit, which often showed by the sweat on his brow. These few short paragraphs couldn’t begin to capture who he was.

He was so many things to many people, but what he cherished most was being a father to his daughter, Nevaeh, a son, brother and friend.

In addition to his mother, Brenda, he is survived by his beloved daughter, Nevaeh Stout; his partner, Jennifer Griffith, both of home; his brother, Dennis Stout and wife Nicole, of Mount Morris, Pa.; aunts, Shirley Wagner, of Morgantown, Gloria Stout, of Mount Morris, Pa., and boyfriend Tim Liming, of Core, and Misty Hartman, of Morgantown; his adored niece and nephew, Alissa and Blaine Stout, of Mount Morris, Pa., and we couldn’t forget his rescue pit, Tyson.

Also surviving are numerous cousins and extended family.

In addition to his father, Delmas Sr., he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lonnie and Wanda Hartman; maternal grandparents, Blaine and Arlene Stout; and his uncles, Butch and wife Veronica, Fred Hartman and Dennis Stout.

As a cornea tissue donor, the Stout family would like to acknowledge that Delmas gave the precious gift of sight to someone in need.

The family will gather with friends at the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home, from 1-3 p.m. and 5 p.m. until the time of services at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16, with his cousin, Pastor John Wagner, officiating. Cremation will follow with a private inurnment to be held by the family.

Instead of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to help with the funeral and other expenses.
