Carol Larman

Carol B. Larman, 83, of Valley Point, Preston County, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2022, at her home, with her family by her side.

The daughter of late Raymond and Martha Busch Altemose, she was born July 29, 1939, in Easton, Pa.

Carol attended the Cuzzart Wesleyan Church and was retired from the Thomas Somerville Plumbing Co. She grew up in the circus, working in both the Cole Brothers and the Ringling Brothers circuses, and sang in the Bob Meadows Country Band. She could play any string instrument. Carol was the most wonderful, generous and loving person to all whom she met. She had a great sense of humor, but you didn’t want to get on her bad side. Carol loved to drink hot tea and talk to anybody who would listen.

She is survived by three sons: Troy E. Larman of Valley Point, M. Cary Larman and spouse, Kim, of Key Largo, Fla., and Jason C. Larman and spouse, Angel, of Valley Point; a daughter, D. Robin Padgett, of Bonifay, Fla.; a sister, Delores Johnson, of Summerville, S.C.; five grandchildren: Hampton E. Norris and partner, Rain; Krystal L. Norris and partner, Angela; Alycia M. Norris and partner, Adam; Linden M. Larman and Everett C. Larman; six great-grandchildren: Robert M. Norris, Bonnie M. Bostic, Gauge T. Bostic. Liyla P. LaRue, Sadie M. Norris and Austin C. Dearing; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hampton E. Larman, and brothers, Harry and Leonard Altemose.

Family and friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, Monday, Nov. 21, 2022, from 5-8 p.m., and Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2022, from noon until the 1 p.m. service with Pastor Joe Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow in the Parnell Cemetery in Bruceton Mills (Cuzzart).
