Michael Dewayne Lewis, age 48, of Morgantown, made his final trip home on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2022, to be restored in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Michael was born on Nov. 12, 1974, in Morgantown. He worked for many years as a high voltage tester. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family. Michael was a devoted father, a loving husband and would help anyone in need. He wholeheartedly believed that family came first, and it showed in all that he did. Those who knew him considered him selfless. He was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back. He was loved by so many and will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Billie and Kyleen Lewis; his beloved wife of 13 years, Amy Snodgrass Lewis; his three daughters, Jacklyn Lewis Martin (Brandon), Olivia Beth Lewis (9) and Allie Marie Lewis (7); two sisters, Tonya Lewis (Jimmy) and Stephanie Dorsey (Mark); his nieces and nephews, Catherine Gray (Matthew), Dylan Sell, Jason Dorsey, Hannah Dorsey, Madison Dorsey and Andrew Dorsey; great-nieces and -nephews, Jaxson Tennant and Laikyn Gray; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held at Covenant Church, of which he was a member. Friends and family are invited to gather at the church, 802 Greenbag Road, from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 21, with Pastor Nathan Williamson officiating.
