Mary Darlene “Doll” Carpenter, 77, of Morgantown, passed away Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Doll was born Sept. 9, 1945, in Bobtown, Pa., a daughter of the late Richard J. Forkin and Mary E. Craft Forkin.
Doll was a homemaker, a member of the Arnettsville Methodist Church and the Arnettsville Ladies Aid.
Doll is survived by two daughters, Beth Morrison (Roger) and Belinda Varndell (Tommy), both of Morgantown; grandchildren, David Paul Morgan (Brittany), Deja Frazier (Jason), Tabitha Perkins (Matt), Anthony Varndell (Marissa) and Hailey Varndell (Nick); great-grandchildren, Ella, Layla, Vanessa, J-Man, David, Ashton, Scarlett, Mason and Xan-Man; sister, Shirley Gasti, of Bobtown, Pa.; brother, Dale Forkin (Ella), of Philadelphia, and many other loving family members.
In addition to her parents, Doll was preceded in death by her husband Duane A. Carpenter in 2009 and one brother, Richard “Dickie” Forkin.
Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Westover from 1-3 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, and from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service on Thursday with Pastor Roger Morrison officiating. Burial will follow at Arnettsville Cemetery.
