Anderson Excavating continues to work on a $1.2 million project to replace all the existing asphalt around the transit authority’s Westover hub, 691 Fairmont Road.
Project Manager Bob Pingley previously said the work will be broken down to address multiple areas.
The asphalt in all bus travel and fueling areas was removed and is being replaced with a new concrete surface.
Next, the contractor replaced the asphalt in the administrative parking area and construct a new, 20-space parking area adjacent to the administrative lot.
Lastly, the main terminal lot will be renovated.
Mountain Line Transit Authority Board of Directors has planned a dedication ceremony at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
The Westover Terminal will be officially renamed Pifer Terminal in honor of the late general manager Wayne Pifer.
The ceremony will take place in the upper Westover Administration parking lot, 420 DuPont Road, Westover.
