Dorena Wolfe

Dorena “Dee” Bruni Wolfe, 65, of Cheat Neck, passed away Monday, Oct. 17, 2022, at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born April 2, 1957, in Uniontown, Pa., a daughter of the late Robert “Fibber” and Louella (Jenkins) Wolfe.

Dee was a graduate of University High School, class of 1975, and went on to obtain an education degree from West Virginia University. She worked for BFS Foods for over 25 years, where she obtained several certifications in many of the food concepts before retiring. She also worked for WVUH Catering. She loved watching football on Saturdays and was a huge Mountaineer fan. Dee was an avid traveler and loved going on trips with family to stop at historical sites. She was a member of Cheat Lake United Methodist Church for many years and had joined the Chestnut Ridge congregation 10 years ago. Dee lived every moment to the fullest. She had a passion for reading, often cooked meals for the family and was always ready for the next vacation. In recent years, she spent all of her time helping raise her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her siblings, Bobbie Dietz, Bart Wolfe and his wife Janet and Brett Wolfe and his wife Dannyka; and nieces and nephews, Gaston Dietz and his wife Morgan, Milly Dietz, Gaby Rilee and her husband Nick, Grace Wolfe, Breanna Wolfe, Isabelle Wolfe and Beau Wolfe.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Wayne Dietz.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Hastings Funeral Home. Friends and family will be received at Cheat Lake United Methodist Church, 750 Fairchance Road, Morgantown, from noon until the time of the memorial service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22 with the Rev. Stanley Merrifield officiating.
