Election Day is quickly approaching — Nov. 8 — and ballots will include Amendment 2, which would give the state legislature the authority to exempt machinery, equipment and inventory used for business purposes and personal motor vehicles from inclusion in personal property taxes.
Listen live at 10 a.m. Monday to WV Metro News to get both sides of the issue. Host Hoppy Kercheval will welcome West Virginia Senate Finance Committee Chairperson Eric Tarr as he presents the merits of Amendment 2, while Kanawha County Commission President Kent Carper will be outlining the opposing side.
During the segment, Kercheval will take questions from listeners, who may text their questions to 304talk304.
This one-hour discussion will provide insight to help West Virginians make informed decisions regarding Amendment 2 before they head to the polls.
