Have you ever wondered how and where your favorite local artists work?
Thanks to another Mo’town Studio Tour, set for today and Sunday, you’ll get the opportunity to satisfy that curiosity.
This is the fourth time the event has been hosted.
From 10 a.m.-4 p.m. today and noon-4 p.m. Sunday, area artists will open their studio spaces to the public as part of a self-guided tour.
Featured on this tour are Shayla Marsh, Lisa Giuliani, Bryn Perrott, Jamie Lester and Nadia Caterina and Jen Allen.
Marsh, a ceramics artist, is the gallery manager for the Laura and Paul Mesaros Galleries at West Virginia University.
She will host guest artists Yoshi Fujii, Atiya Jones, and Kara Hetz.
Giuliani is a potter and jewelry maker. She will host guest artists Rona Chang, Mark Arnold, and Nevada Tribble.
Perrott, who often works under the name Deerjerk, is widely known for her woodcuts and carvings. She also draws, paints and makes prints. She will host guest artists Morgan Hill and Erina Pearl at her studio.
Allen is a studio potter. She will host guest artists Nathalie Singh-Corcoran, Lindsay Oesterritter, and Eric Pardue at her studio off Summers School Road.
Lester is widely known for his bronze statues and sculptures. Lester created Vandalia Bronze LLC, and along with Caterina, founded Nampara Sculpture and Arts in Morgantown. They will host guest artists Doug LaRocca, Hunter Stamps, and Amelia Stamps.
Guest artists are chosen by the hosts. While some are local, others come from the surrounding region, according to organizers.
Most artists will have work for sale during the tour.
A tour map is available on the Mo’town Studio Tour website, https://www.motownstudiotour.com/tour-map. All stops are in Morgantown.
