Charles Graham

Charles Clayton Graham, 87, of Albright, Woolen Mills community, passed away at the Windy Hill Village in Kingwood, Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2022.

The son of the late Carlus G. and Nina Mable Hartman Graham, he was born Nov. 9, 1934, in Woolen Mills.

Clayton was member of the Centenary United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Preston County Honor Guard. In addition, he was a member and past president of the Woodmen of the World, Lodge 226, in Bruceton Mills. For many years, Clayton worked as a heavy equipment operator in surface mining. He was a loving husband, dad and pappy.

Clayton is survived by his wife, Lavonne E. “Bonnie” Graham; a son, Rick Graham and his companion Sherry Kuhl, of Hazelton; a daughter and her husband, Lisa and Tracy Fearer, of Bruceton Mills; a sister, Eva Jean Bolinger, of Lenox; two grandchildren and their spouses, Stacy Graham Feather and Jordan, of Kingwood, and Cody Lee Fearer and Carolyn, of Pittsburgh; and one great-grandson, Jaxson Feather.
In addition to his parents, Clayton was preceded in death by a brother, Elwyn Graham.

Visitation for family and friends will be at the Centenary United Methodist Church in Bruceton Mills, from 11 a.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service on Saturday, Oct. 15, with the Rev. Timothy Edin officiating. Burial will follow in the Centenary Cemetery. Military graveside honors will be provided by the Preston County Honor Guard and the WVANG Funeral Honors, Camp Dawson.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to the Centenary Cemetery Association, c/o Mark Whetsell, 12433 Brandonville Pike, Bruceton Mills, WV 26525.

Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, will be providing funeral services for the family.
