A boil water advisory remains in effect today for the 170 or so residents in First Ward who were without service after an 18-inch main on Ohio Avenue broke Monday morning.
Crews were expected to have the line repaired by 6 p.m. Monday, Morgantown Utility Board spokesman Chris Dale said.
Other First Ward residents reported low water pressure or discolored water.
South Middle School, the Monongalia County Technical Education Center and Mountainview Elementary also experienced low pressure — but no boil water advisories were issued for any of those buildings, the school district said.
Dale said such advisories usually last 24 hours after repairs are made for health and safety reasons.
