Gregory Anthony Neely, 64, of Laurel Point, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 26, 2022, with his family by his side.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn and Kenneth Neely, and a father-in-law, Robert Maxwell.
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Debra Neely; a son, Trent Neely and wife Jill; a daughter, Misty Eddy; his grandchildren, Jodi, Codi, Aubrey and Anthony; a brother, Douglas Neely; a sister, Sherrie Collins; and eight nieces and nephews. Also surviving is his mother-in-law, Carolyn Maxwell Murray.
Greg worked for WVU Health Sciences Center for 32 years before retiring. He loved his family and loved the great outdoors. Greg was a member of the Overflow Church on River Road. He was loyal to God, his family, the Steelers, and the Pirates. In his downtime, he enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking, golfing and hunting (kind of). He was also a lover of music and taught himself to play keyboard.
Family will receive friends at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 3, then again from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 4, with Pastor Jeremiah Bostic officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Greg’s memory to the Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children.
