Thomas Leroy Eddy Jr., 37, of Core, passed away on Friday, Sept. 23, 2022, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family. Tommy was born in Morgantown, on March 6, 1985; making Thomas L. Eddy Sr. and the late Janice L. Eddy, the proud parents of their only child.
Tommy graduated from Clay-Battelle High School in the class of 2003. After graduation, Tommy completed his education at Lincoln Welding School in Cleveland. Tommy worked for West Virginia Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 152. Tommy had many passions: most of all he enjoyed camping at Five River Campground in Parsons. Most notably, Tommy invested deeply in the care of his parents and always looked after their needs.
Tommy leaves behind his father, Thomas L. Eddy Sr., of Core; maternal grandparents, Fred and Lenora Bussey, of Mount Morris, Pa.; maternal aunts, Marsha Layton and Eddie Kiger, of Mount Morris, Pa., and Michelle Bussey, of Core; paternal aunt and uncles: Ellen Bolyard and Bob, of Westover, Norman Eddy and Pam, of Mount Morris, Pa., and Neil Eddy and Michelle, of Core; his cousins: Nicholas Eddy and Sarah, Justin Bolyard and Jessica, Betty Nicholson and Jason, Leah Bowen and Jeremiah and Leslie Eddy and Robbie; cousins who stole his heart and he enjoyed spoiling: Braxton Eddy, Miranda Nicholson, Charlie Bowen, Reese Eddy and Elleann Bowen; and a host of extended family members and friends.
Tommy has been reunited with his mother, Janice L. Eddy, who passed away in 2020; and his paternal grandparents, Donald and Sarepta Eddy.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church c/o Marsha Layton 119 Floral St. Mount Morris, PA 15349.
Family and friends are invited to gather at McCulla Funeral Home, from 3-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28, and again from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service on Thursday. Following the service, Tommy will be laid to rest by his mom at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
