Stephen “Steve” Kane, 72, of Morgantown, passed away Monday, Sept. 5, 2022, at his home. He was born Nov. 8, 1949, in Bradford, West Yorkshire England, a son of the late Bill and Vera Kane.
Steve received a master’s degree in mathematics from West Virginia University and was passionate about teaching on the collegiate level. In his free time, he was an avid scuba diver and instructor. He was also a private pilot and flight instructor.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Kane; daughter, Lois Boysan and her husband, Andy, of Bristol, England; grandchildren, Charlie and Izzy Boysan; sister, Gilli Kane; brother-in-law, Alan Wittgrove; and sister-in-law, Lynn Barnett.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation services have been entrusted to Hastings Funeral Home. Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, from 1 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 20, with Rabbi Joseph Hample officiating.
