Caroline Carunchia Morgan, 93, passed peacefully on Sept. 9, 2022. She was born in Kingmont, on May 29, 1929, to the late Nick and Mary Gargerella Carunchia.
Caroline was the youngest and last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Vince, Tony, Pat and Joe Carunchia, and her sister, Frances Brown. Her husband, Donald J. Morgan, passed away in 1990 after 40 years of marriage. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Morgan Talerico, of Westover, and her son, Daniel J. Morgan, of Fairmont.
Caroline was a 1947 graduate of East Fairmont High School. As a product of the greatest generation, her life embodied the American Dream. Her passions included all things athletic, with a golf and bowling prowess that was admired by all who joined her in the love of the game. She was an avid walker and loved the outdoors, especially her flowers. Her home was a showcase and as her husband would remark “she always has a remodeling project in the works.”
Her faith and attendance at both St. Anthony’s and the Immaculate Conception Churches bonded her to the gift of eternal life.
The family extends their most sincere gratitude to Fitzwater’s Assisted Living in Fairmont for their most loving and compassionate care as well as to WV Caring who supported her and the family through these final months.

The family has entrusted arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, R.C. Jones Chapel, 1410 Country Club Road, Fairmont, WV 26554. All services will be private to the family.
