A seventh birthday celebration was held Thursday in the West Virginia University Art Museum.
The event marked the seventh anniversary of the opening of the museum at 20 Fine Arts Drive, the former home of the Erickson Alumni Center.
There was a special reception and viewing of new exhibitions in both galleries, including Storywork: The Prints of Marie Watt, from the Collection of Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation.
The evening was sponsored by the Friends of the Art Museum.
The museum is open to the public from 12:30-6 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays.
