Operation Welcome Home invites community members to join it at the Operation Welcome Home Military Appreciation Night at Monongalia County Ball Park.
The event is scheduled for Aug. 27 and will be hosted and sponsored by United Bank.
Purchase tickets to that day’s West Virginia Black Bears baseball game on the organization’s website through a link found at https://welcomehomewv.com/events/, and $5 from each ticket will be donated to Operation Welcome Home.
OWH hopes to fill the stands with people who appreciate the men and women who have provided an opportunity to live a life of freedom.
On that Saturday, the Black Bears will be taking the field against the Mahoning Valley Scrappers. First pitch will be at 7:05 p.m.
Monongalia County Ballpark is at 2040 Gyorko Drive Granville.
This event is in partnership with Operation Welcome Home, United Bank and West Virginia Black Bears.
Operation Welcome Home is a 501c3 non-profit employment resource organization dedicated to helping veterans and their families overcome barriers to employment and providing them with the knowledge and resources needed to secure a fulfilling position in the civilian workforce.
