David Ray Clemsic, 77, of Morgantown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at his home. He was born Oct. 20, 1944, in Morgantown, son of the late John Joseph and Leona Hyla (Weaver) Clemsic.
He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Barbara Swyck and Sandra Lewis. He is survived by his brother, Larry Clemsic, and sisters, Cheryl Shank and Debbie Kotova.
He was married to his wife of 54 years, Alicia Anne Clemsic, until her death in 2015. He is survived by two daughters, Suzanne Leighty and Sherri England; one son, J.D. Clemsic; and seven grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his loving companion, Gloria Livengood.
He worked at Beaumont Glass Factory for 26 years and Haywood Baker doing heavy concrete work. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, camping, woodworking and golfing. He was an avid hunter.
Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, from 2 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 31 with Pastor M.J. Charlton officiating. In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place at a time following the service.
