Raymond Larry Sell, 74, of Martinsburg, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022, at the Hospice Inpatient facility in Kearneysville.
Born Oct. 16, 1947, in Lenox, he was the son of the late Daniel Harmon Sell and Grace May Dixon.
Raymond worked as a Welder and Shipfitter at Bethlehem Steel.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam. After his service in the U.S. Army, he went on to serve in the Army National Guard.
Raymond was an avid hunter and fisherman, he also enjoyed singing and playing guitar.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Beverly Fries-Sell (Adams); two stepsons, Roger Fries Jr. and his spouse and Anthony Fries and his spouse; two stepdaughters, Krista Harris and spouse and Penny Foster and spouse; two brothers, Richard Sell and his spouse and Ray Sell and his spouse; one sister, Bernice Cannon; and numerous step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son in infancy, Raymond L. Sell II; five brothers; and three sisters.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown Funeral Home, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 30. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
