
Christopher John Boggs, 27, of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2022.
The oldest son of Becky and Christopher Boggs, Chris was born July 3, 1995, in Morgantown.
He was adored by his family, especially his three beautiful babies. Chris was proud to be working as a coal miner and being able to provide for his family. While in high school, Chris attended M-Tec and received his welding certificate. He had worked at several local welding shops in the area prior to entering the coal mines. He had a love for music, played the guitar and loved to sing. Chris loved his movie nights with his family.
Chris was a devoted father and partner. He is survived by his fiancé, Mary Blass; his three children, Lola, August and Oliver Boggs; his brother, Camden Boggs and wife Adeline; brother, Cyle Boggs and wife Caitlyn; sister, Hannah Boggs; brother, Preston Boggs; paternal grandmother, Leora Boggs, and many other loving family members including aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins.
Chris was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Clyde Boggs; maternal grandmother, Sandra Johnson; maternal grandfather, Phil Reiner; and cousins Doug Boggs, Crystal Loughry and Rylee Burnette.
Family will receive friends at the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home, from 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, July 15, and again from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. on Saturday with Pastor David Kisamore officiating. Interment will follow at the Bethel Cemetery.
