Sondra Shumiloff Carpenter, 69, of Morgantown went home to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at her home. She was born Jan. 12, 1953, in Morgantown, to the late William and Betty Maxwell Shumiloff.
Sondra worked at Mon Health Medical Center for over 30 years as an aid and in the daycare.
Sondra is survived by her siblings, Kaye Saylor, Dorothy Shumiloff and Rebecca (Bill) Page; sister-in-law, Scharlet Rumer; and brother-in-law, Chuck (Gladys) Carpenter.
In addition to her parents, Sondra is preceded in death by her husband, James Donald Carpenter; brother, Charles Shields; and brothers-in-law, Gene Rumer and Arnold Carpenter.
Sondra’s family would like to thank her caretaker from Companion Care and Amedisys Hospice, Ashley McMillen.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road Morgantown, WV 26501.
Friends may gather at McCulla Funeral Home, from 10 a.m.-noon, the time of service, on Saturday July 9. Interment will follow in East Oak Grove Cemetery.
