Lee Lee Lemley

Laura Lee “Lee Lee” Lemley, 90, of Pentress, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 4, 2022, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. Lee Lee was born in Pentress on Feb. 8, 1932, a daughter of the late Norman and Violet Hogue Lemley.

In Lee Lee’s free time, she enjoyed going shopping and could always find a reason to buy a new pair of shoes. Her greatest joy came from spending time with and cooking for her family and having special time with all her grandchildren.

Lee Lee was a member of Olive United Methodist Church where she was actively involved.

Lee Lee is survived by her daughters, Charlotte Haught (Mike), of Wana, and Ramona Wilson (Alan), of Blacksville; son, Buddy Lemley (Jeannie), of Pentress; sister, Nancy Hall (Melvin), of Weirton; grandchildren, Lisa Statler (Gary), Cathy Chisler (Bruce), Seth Lemley (Chrissy), Shane Haught (Rose), Kevin Wilson and Caleb Lemley (Stephanie); and great-grandchildren, Makayla Wilson, Bo Chisler, Mason Chisler, Lainey Statler, Maggie Lemley, Kaitlyn Wilson, Josie Lemley and Neil Miner Lemley.

In addition to her parents, Lee Lee was preceded in death by her husband, Learnie Lemley; sister, Sis Haught; brothers, Bud Lemley and Dick Lemley; and great-granddaughter, Madison Statler.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Ronda Stiles, Gerry Rowan, Tara Sperandio, Kaci Cody, Claudette Lantz, Tammy Cody and Edna Green for the excellent care given to Lee Lee over the years. Also, to Ruby Hospital, 7W for the care and compassion shown to Lee Lee and her family in their time of need.

Friends may gather at Olive United Methodist Church, from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, and again from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service on Friday, July 8, with Pastor John Brosky officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Cemetery. McCulla Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
