Garnetta “Joy” Tamaska, 92, of Westover, passed away at Sundale Nursing Home on Sunday, July 3, 2022.
Joy was born in Morgantown on Dec. 10, 1929, to the late Frank and Tacy B. Powers Mitchell.
Joy worked at First National Bank and later at Huntington Bank and retired to be a homemaker.
Joy is survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Joy was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Charles C. Tamaska; and her son, Bobby C. Tamaska.
Visitation will be held at McCulla Funeral Home, from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, and again from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. funeral service on Thursday, July 7, with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Joy will be laid to rest alongside her husband and son at East Oak Grove Cemetery following the service.
