Brittany Danae Stewart , 36, of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2022, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
Born July 24, 1985, in Morgantown, Brittany was the only child of Kenneth and Tammy Henning Stewart, of Morgantown.
In addition to her parents, Brittany is survived by her longtime companion, Matthew Stephen Smajda and their four children, Stephanie, Kalliope, Clinton “Stevie” and Judah; aunts and uncles including Denise and William Kimbrel and their children Sam, Ashley, Caden, Tanner and Tyler, all of Morgantown, Sonia and Ronald Stewart, of Southern California, and Edward Toothman, of West Virginia; cousin, Marshall Toothman, of Waynesboro, Pa.; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Christine and Larry Rosier, of Fairmont; and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Carol Darras, and Kenneth and Barbara Stewart.
Brittany was most proud to be a mother to her four children. She loved music. Brittany was always on the move running errands or taking care of little projects here and there. She was always there to help anyone who needed it. Brittany was a wonderful person who somehow mastered the art of taking all of that wonderfulness she had and driving everyone around her crazy with it.
Friends may join the family to honor Brittany’s life and legacy at Smith Funeral & Cremation Care, 108 Holland Ave., Westover/Morgantown, from 1-3 p.m. and 6-7:45 p.m. on Friday, July 8. A service in remembrance of Brittany will begin at 7:45 p.m. officiated by the Rev. Father Brian J. Crenwelge. Following the service, and at the request of her family, Brittany will be cremated.
