Ernest H. Stankos, 78, of Clermont, Fla. and Morgantown, went to his Lord on Saturday, June 25, 2022, in Clermont, Fla.
Ernie is survived by his wife Linda; his son, Sean (Michelle); and granddaughters, Morgan and Emma Stankos. He is survived by brothers, Robert Stankos (Ida) and Joseph Stankos (Susan), and sister, Marian Turner. Ernie was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Madeline Stankos; brothers, William and Thomas Stankos and Blair Messenger; and sister, Elaine Frum.
He attended Morgantown High School and West Virginia University. He was a member of the Army Reserves. Ernie was a member of the Pines CC and the Senior Men’s Golf Association. Ernie had a long career as a senior field engineer (power general systems) with General Electric. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the lodge in Morgantown.
A celebration of life will be held in Morgantown in August.
