William King

William E. “Bill” King Sr., 79, died peacefully on Saturday, June 11, 2022, in Pittsburgh, surrounded by his family.

Bill was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He loved his hometown of Upper St. Clair, Pa., spending time at Cheat Lake, anything with a motor and sharing a laugh. Bill showed tremendous resilience, following an accident as a young adult that left him deaf, and he never lost his sense of humor throughout his seven-year battle with Lewy Body Dementia. Bill was a valuable member of the Lions Club and will be remembered for his kindness and generosity.

Bill is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patricia “Patty” King; their children, William “Bill” King Jr. (Leah) and Shaunna Austin (Brian); and grandchildren, Cameron Patrick, and Kaylee. Bill is also survived by his sister, Jean Dee (Jim).

Family and friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes 222 Washington Road, Mount Lebanon, Pa., from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday June 16. A memorial service will be held at Mount Lebanon United Methodist Church at 10 a.m. on Friday June 17, with burial to follow at Smithfield East End Cemetery.
