Steven John Konkolesky, 60, of Maidsville, and formerly of Michigan, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022, at his residence following a long illness.
Born Sept. 8, 1961, in Detroit, Mich., Steven was the son of Barbara Simkus Konkolesky, of Michigan, and the late Joseph Konkolesky.
Along with his mother, survivors include his daughter, Janelle Kowalewski and her husband Leif, of Kapac, Mich.; one grandson, Bjorn Kowaleski; four brothers, Robert, Paul and Bill all of Michigan, and Allen, of the Philippines; and several nieces and nephews.
Steven was a very proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He worked for West Virginia University as an IT Specialist on the PRT system. He had a great sense of humor.
At the request of his family, Steven has been cremated. He will be returned to Michigan, where he will be inurned with Full Military Honors in the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Mich. at a later date.
