Jack Pack Sr., 89, of Cassville, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Mon Health Medical Center on Wednesday, June 8, 2022. He was the son of the late Jake and Helen Pack.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Pack, and three sisters, Helen Strakal, Mary Strakal and Jenny Pack.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 69 years, Clara; a daughter, Joyce Kinsley and husband Doug; a son, Jack Pack Jr. and wife Billie; a sister, Anne Ware, of Merritt Island, Fla.; five grandchildren: Jack J. and Clinton Pack and Eric, Wes and Nathan Kinsley; and eight great-grandchildren.
Jack served his country in the U.S. Army from 1953-55. He went on to work at Sterling Faucet for 19 years and later worked for Consolidation Coal Company at Osage Mine No. 3 for 25 years.
Jack was a very sociable man who loved spending time with his family, reminiscing, and sharing his love for God. He was also always up for an adventure, whether that be traveling, trying new foods at different restaurants or reading a good book. When he wasn’t doing those things, you could find him listening to music and working on projects around the house.
The family will hold a visitation at Fred Jenkins Funeral Home, from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, June 13, and again from noon until the time of service at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, with Pastor Joe Adams officiating. He will be laid to rest at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by Westover VFW Post 9916, of which he was a life time member.
