Cornella Mary “Snook” Johnson, 84, of Jere, acquired her wings on June 2, 2022. Snook was born on July 30, 1937, in Stanaford.
She had been employed by Mon Health Medical Center as a nurse’s aide, taking care of mothers and their babies. It was a job she loved, but she eventually left to be a mother to her own two daughters. She often spoke about how she missed working with the babies.
Snook loved Polka music and often attended concerts at the mall. She was an avid Mountaineer and Elvis fan. She also attended her high school reunions and loved chatting with friends.
She is survived by two daughters, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, an aunt and uncle and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She will be missed by all that knew her.
Family and friends may call at McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Westover, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 4. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. with Msgr. Anthony Cincinnati officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
