Carol Joan Petitte, 88, of Morgantown, passed away at Harmony in Morgantown on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. Carol was born in Wetzel County, on March 16, 1934, to the late William Elvy Gorby and Garnet A. Williams Gorby.
Carol worked as a secretary for many years, but most of all enjoyed her family.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Debra Piktel (David), of Morgantown; son, Robert Petitte Jr., (Anita), of Charleston; grandchildren: Tyler Piktel, of Bridgeport, Courtney Piktel, of Dickinson, Texas, Chyanne Petitte, of Proctorville, Ohio, and Asia Petitte, of Huntington; her brother, Robert Gorby, of New Martinsville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Petitte Sr.
Visitation will be held at McCulla Funeral Home, from 3-6 p.m. on Friday, May 20. A funeral service will be held at McCulla Funeral Home, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, with Father Mauricio as celebrant. Entombment will follow at Peace Mausoleum in Star City.
