Kathy J. (Hixenbaugh) Davis, 67, of Lake Lynn, Pa., died unexpectedly Thursday, May 5, 2022, at her home. Born in Uniontown, Pa., on Aug. 6, 1954, she was the daughter of Doris (Hixenbaugh) Victor, of Morgantown.
A 1973 graduate of Albert Gallatin High School and a member of the Lake Lynn Community Chapel, she had been employed as a maintenance supervisor for several rental agencies in Fairmont and Morgantown. Kathy enjoyed fishing and, being born with the gift of a green thumb, she loved gardening, landscaping and planting all kinds of flowering shrubs. Her home has something blooming from spring to the end of fall.
Surviving, in addition to her loving mother, is her son, Jason Davis and wife Devon, of Lake Lynn, Pa.; three grandchildren, Brian, Elijah and Eleanor; two sisters, Marquita Wachter, of Hagerstown, Md., and Linda Victor, of Bobtown, Pa.; and two brothers, Mark Victor and wife Cindy, of Masontown, and Billy Victor, of South Carolina; a nephew; three nieces; several aunts and uncles; and many cousins.
She was the granddaughter of the late Osborne and Pearl Hixenbaugh, in whose home she was raised. Also deceased is a granddaughter,
Willow.
Friends will be received in the Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, Pa., Philip S. Rishel, owner and director, from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., on Thursday, and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at 11 a.m. on Friday, with her pastor, the Rev. Reba Thurmond officiating.
