Alice Beulah (Gower) Hartsell, 81, of Reedsville, entered into eternal rest from Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown on Monday, May 2, 2022, with loving family by her side. She was born Sept. 26, 1940, in Erwin (Preston County), a daughter of the late Herbert Joseph and Katherine Virginia (Jones) Gower. Alice retired from Morgan Shirt Factory, where she had been employed for over 20 years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include: son, David Paul Hartsell; stepson, George E. Hartsell; brother, Joe Gower; sister, Mary Pierson; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George “Bud” Hartsell; son, William Conrad Hartsell; and brothers, William, Clarence and infant Charles.
Friends will be received at the Morgan Funeral Home in Reedsville from 3-6 p.m. on Monday, May 9, and again, from noon-1 p.m., the time of the funeral services, on Tuesday, May 10, with Pastor Marty Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Morgan Memorial Park in Reedsville. Morgan Funeral Home is honored to serve the Hartsell family.
