KINGWOOD — Logan Seigh was honored as Preston County’s 911 dispatcher of the year at Tuesday’s regular county commission meeting.
“The award this year goes to an individual who’s always has a good outlook on her job and gives her all to make sure the callers are taken care of. Her sunny, caring personality makes for a good working environment because when adversity strikes from a bad call, she always seems to keep everyone smiling,” 911 Director Duane Hamilton said.
People don’t call into 911 because they’re having a great day and it’s nice to have a little bit of sunshine around, Hamilton said. He also mentioned Seigh’s willingness to help out and cover shifts when needed.
Seigh started July 1, 2019. Hamilton said she will be given a jacket with “dispatcher of the year” embroidered on it.
Commission President Samantha Stone said she had the opportunity to meet Seigh and her little girls at a cookout for 911 last week.
“I can just see why she always has that positive attitude,” Stone said.
