George William Watkins, 79, of Grafton, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022, at his home. He was born Dec. 30, 1942, in Washington, D.C. a son of the late Oddford Steven and Mabel Luzzader Watkins.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Kay McKeen Watkins, whom he married on Jan. 10, 1964. He is also survived by his sons, William Earl Watkins and his wife Barb, of Grafton, Steven Michael Watkins and his wife Courtney, of Grafton, and Michael Shawn Watkins and his wife Julie, of Chicago; and his granddaughter, Chassie Paige Watkins, of Grafton.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his sisters, Donna Davis and her husband John and Karen Jeffords and her husband Alan.
George enjoyed traveling and loved to cut grass. He was employed by Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab in Baltimore. George went on to be named general manager of Rexhide in Grafton and later retired from General Electric Specialty Chemicals in Westover.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation services were handled by Donald G. Ford Funeral Home. There will be no public services.
