Take-in for MAA juried Exhibit 60 set for April 6

Local artists are encouraged to enter their artwork in the 63rd annual fine art Exhibit 60, sponsored by Morgantown Art Association. This will be juried and judged by the internationally famous artist David R. Smith.

In order to enter Exhibit 60, artists must be at least 18 years old and living within a 60-mile radius of Morgantown. The prospectus explaining the regulations and details for this show may be found on the MAA website (www.morgantownartassociation.com).

The take-in for the exhibit is 10 a.m.-6 p.m. April 6 at the MAA Gallery in the Mountaineer Mall, Green Bag Road. There will be a public critique by Smith and reception at 6 p.m. April 8. The exhibit will be free and open to the public from April 7-June 1 in the MAA Gallery. The gallery is open for visitors from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Smith will instruct a watercolor workshop April 7-10 at the gallery.

The Morgantown Art Association is a membership program open to “all artists, art lovers and supporters of art in our area,” according to the association. Members must be 18 or older and pay yearly dues of $35, which allows the member to participate in monthly shows, Kappa Tau and art classes.
