Five volunteer fire departments worked to put out a fire that engulfed a home in Monongalia County Sunday evening and sent one person to the hospital.
According to Monongalia County Emergency Management Agency (MECCA) Assistant Director Brad Wilson, a call came in at 5:33 p.m. regarding a fire at a home on Warm Hollow Road, located just outside of Morgantown, off Stewartstown Road.
Volunteer fire departments from Cheat Lake, Brookhaven, Star City, Westover and Cool Springs responded to the blaze, Wilson said.
Monongalia Emergency Medical Services Executive Director Forest Weyen confirmed one person was transported by Mon EMS to an area hospital, but could not comment on the nature or extent of the victim’s injuries or their current condition.
