Gary Lynn Wade, 86, of Morgantown went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. Gary was born in Morgantown, on Aug. 8, 1935, to the late Arbeth and Thelma Eddy Wade, of Morgantown.
Gary was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, serving during the Korean war, and he worked as a conservation officer for over 47 years. He enjoyed running, golfing and spending time with his family.
Gary is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Loretta Fisher Wade; children, Trudy C. Skidmore (Mike), Karrie R. Ditmore (Mark), Carlton B. Wade and Jennifer L. Winans (Bob); grandchildren, Sarah E. Barry, Justin Ditmore, Haley McCreery, Lauren Bertelli, Lindsay Winans and Carleigh Wade; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Arberth J. Wade.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his brother David Wade.
Family and friends are invited to gather at McCulla Funeral Home, from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, March 20, and again from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service on Monday, March 21, with Pastor Tammy Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
