Emelia Polansky, 69, of Daybrook, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2022, in J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born Sept. 29, 1952, at Fairmont, a daughter of the late Terry Dale Eddy and Lelia McCord Eddy.
Mrs. Polansky worked as an in-home caregiver for the elderly.
She was a member of the Daybrook Church of Christ.
Surviving are three daughters and their spouses, Amanda Rivenbark, of Cincinnati, Linda Dille and her husband Richard, of Morgantown, and Teresa Baez and her husband Edward, of Daybrook; four brothers, Denzil Fay Eddy, Billy Joe Eddy, and Ora Charles Eddy, all of Daybrook, and Melvin Luther Eddy, of Jakes Run; two sisters, Lena Ann Wright, of Ambridge, Pa., and Donna Elaine Lemmon, of Holbrook, Pa.; five grandchildren, Derek, Justin, Zachary, Zenika and Edward; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Dwain Polansky; two sisters, Winona Ive Roupe and Barbara Ellen White; and her son-in-law, Jay Rivenbark.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday with the Rev. Freddie Eddy II officiating. Interment will follow in the Brewer Cemetery.
