
William “Bob” Cool, 95, of Tunnelton, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022, in Morgantown.
He was born April 27, 1926, in Tunnelton, a son of the late Jesse T. and Minnie Britton Cool.
Bob was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He worked in the family timber business, worked for the Tunnelton Mine Co-Op, worked for Raymond Hartman, Chappel Coal Company, Milford Jenkins and was a mine foreman for Island Creek at Byard. He also worked with his son, Mike, when they formed Cool Lumber Company. His hobbies included trail riding and his trail ride through Dolly Sods, his word find books and his great-granddaughter, Marci Jo.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Joyce Strawser Cool; his son, Mike Cool, of Tunnelton; his grandchildren, Brandon Cool, of Morgantown, and Michelle West and husband, Derrek, of Clarksburg; his great-granddaughter, Marci Jo West; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Carroll Cool, and a sister, Ruth Jean Poling.
Friends may call at Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. the funeral hour, on Saturday, Feb. 26, with Pastor Randy Cobun officiating. Interment will follow in the Camp Ground Cemetery.
The family requests that masks are mandatory while at the funeral home for visitation and service.
