Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championship, today-Saturday at Mylan Park.
Tickets for the Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championship at the Aquatic Center at Mylan Park are now on sale through the Mountaineer Ticket Office. West Virginia is set to host the four-day championship for the second time in program history. Tickets are on sale for sessions today-Saturday. Adult ticket prices vary by session, and youth tickets will only be available in-person as fans enter the Aquatic Center on event days. Additionally, Big 12 students are admitted free with a valid student ID. Face masks are strongly encouraged at WVU Athletics venues during public events.
Thursday Bluegrass Jam 6-8 p.m. today at Terra Café.
All bluegrass lovers, singers, pickers and friends are invited to Thursday Bluegrass Jam for some picking, hanging out, food, coffee, or a beer or two. Thursday Bluegrass Jams from 6-8 p.m. every Thursday.
WVU Baseball home opener, 3 p.m. Monday.
The Mountaineers take on the Canisius College Golden Griffins for the 2022 baseball season home opener. The game is at the Monongalia County Ballpark in Morgantown.
Winter Farmers Market, 10 a.m. March 5 at WVU Extension Office.
There will be vendors set up inside and outside of the WVU Extension Office for the Winter Farmers Market. The Extension Service office is trying to keep offering safe access to local food. The vendors each offer seasonal produce, meat, flour, baked goods, jams, maple syrup, honey and more. All produce is sourced locally within 50 miles of Morgantown. Cash, SNAP, credit, and debit cards are accepted.
Birdwatching, 6 p.m. March 5 at Snake Hill Wildlife Management Area.
Witness the woodcock’s sky dance by birdwatching at Snake Hill Wildlife Management Area. You won’t want to miss this must-see marvel of nature. Bring a flashlight or spotlight and binoculars if you have them. Be sure to dress for the weather. Contact LeJay for directions at lejay@oldhemlock.org.
Mohigan Idol, 7 p.m. March 5.
Morgantown High School’s annual Mohigan Idol fundraiser is a charity talent show that contributes 100% of the proceeds to the West Virginia University Children’s Hospital. Mohigan Idol relies exclusively on community donations and any participants or community involvement to spread the word. Mohigan Idol will be at The Metropolitan Theatre on High Street. Admission is by donation.
WV Fishing, Hunting and Outdoor Sports Show, March 5-6 at Mylan Park.
Join the fun at Mylan Park for the 20th Annual West Virginia Fishing, Hunting and Outdoor Sports Show. There will be more than 150 vendor booths set up. Register to win great prizes. The first 50 people each day will receive a free gift. Enjoy seminars, special attractions, and the “Family Fun Zone.” Additionally, there will be thousands of products and services including guns and ammo, tackle and bait, charter boats, sports equipment, camping equipment, ATVs, trucks, and more.
WV Vintage Fest, noon-8 p.m. March 6.
Gallery 304 will host WV Vintage Fest March 6 at Hotel Morgan. There will be more than 20 vintage clothing vendors. Admission is free.
