Martha Kun

Martha Kun, 74, of Cassville, passed away at her home on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022, surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with COPD.

Martha was born Sept. 10, 1947, in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Thomas “Coty” Evanoff and Mary Menear Evanoff.

Martha enjoyed family birthdays and holidays; they were special to her. She liked to shop, vacation and travel, which took her to places such as Switzerland, Germany, France and the Bahamas, and she visited 30 different states. She especially enjoyed Sunday drives and dinner with her husband, Dave.

She loved music and dancing and once won a hula-hoop and jitterbug contest at the Mountaineer Mall.
Martha leaves behind her kind loving husband, David; children, Ebbert May Jr. and wife Pam, Christi May and Melissa Price, all of Morgantown; grandchildren, Morgan and companion Steve, Alexa and companion Charlie, Bryce, Chance and Rylee, all of Morgantown; and two great-grandchildren, Abbi and James, of Morgantown. Also surviving is her sister, Verna “Pooch” Denjen, of Mount Morris, Pa.; nephews, Frankie Denjen, of Mount Morris, Pa., and Cottie Denjen and wife Nikki, of Waynesburg, Pa.; great-nephew, McCottie; great-niece, Kylie, of Waynesburg, Pa.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Judy Kun, of Westover, Norma Rischak, of Murrells Inlet, S.C., Joanne Kun, of Granville, Marilyn Kun, of Kalispell, Mont., Cornella “Snook” Johnson, of Jere, and Greg and Julie Helbus, of Jere; and many other nieces, nephews and good friend and cousin, Linda Sutton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers-in-law Bill Kun, Bob Kun and Joe Kun.
Visitation will be held at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 18, and again from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10 a.m. on Saturday with Rick Curtis officiating. Martha will be laid to rest at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Martha to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 and/or St. Ursula’s Food Pantry.
