Mary Francis Lewis Stanley, 94, of Morgantown, passed away Monday, February 14th, 2022 at Harmony at Morgantown.
Born Nov. 22, 1927, in Charleston, Mary was a daughter of the late Lester Lewis and Golda Cantrell Lewis.
Survivors include her husband of 75 years, Roy; children, Chas Stanley (Anita), of Morgantown, Cheryl Dinan (Russ), of Weaverville, N.C. and Roy A. Stanley, of Sarsota, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Stanley was a 1944 graduate of Dupont High School. After graduation, she worked in retail for Stone & Thomas Department Store. She and her family moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1968. She then began to work in accounting and retired from Wendy’s International.
She loved to play Bridge three to four times per week — and not just for the game, but more importantly the social interaction. Mary was also previously a member of the Morgantown Newcomers Club.
At the request of the family, Mary has been cremated and no services are scheduled at this time.
