Edith Burhl Christopher, 93, of Kingwood, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022, at Preston Memorial Hospital.
She was born Aug. 3, 1928, in Bruceton Mills, a daughter of the late Cloyd and Winona Speelman Smith.
Edith was a loving mother, grandmother and a homemaker. She was a member of the Kingwood Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, William Christopher and wife Janet, of Kingwood; grandchildren, Robert (Monica) Maxwell and Carson (Makiko) Christopher, of Morgantown, Kevin (Shelly) Maxwell of Kingwood, Karyn Christopher and Kaylyn (Nate King) Christopher, of Fairmont; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wilfred Smith, and a sister Eujenia Harned.
Family will receive friends at Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m, the funeral hour, on Thursday, Feb. 17, with Pastor Charles Warger officiating. Interment will follow at the Sugar Valley Cemetery.
