Fuller Wayne “Mac” Varner, 81, of Fairview, died Friday, Feb. 4, 2022, at his residence.
He was born May 12, 1940, at Daybrook, a son of the late Pansy Marie Varner Henderson and stepfather, Homer Henderson.
Mr. Varner was a retired coal miner who worked at Blackville #2 mine for over 30 years. He was a member of Moose Lodge #264 of Morgantown. He enjoyed bowling and traveling to tournaments.
Surviving is his wife of 53 years, Nellie Varner, of Fairview; and two sisters, Mary Ann Rogers and husband Sonny, of Daybrook, and Susan Jane Stout and husband Paul, of Morgantown. He has many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, and great-great-nieces and -nephews.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday with Pastor Freddie Eddy officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Luke Cemetery at Mooresville.
